Lee Kyeong-yong Founder of KIOX · MAGICPOS
Starting at the checkout counter, I have designed and built POS and retail management systems myself for more than 30 years. From COBOL through VB6 and VB.NET to C#, WPF and .NET 8, I rebuilt the same business on each new technology, and recently expanded into semiconductor equipment integration (SECS/GEM, RabbitMQ). I am putting all of this into KIOX, and I am looking for partners to grow it with.
Not just software: I make the work of a store actually run.
I have lived and built the flows of checkout, stock, purchasing and settlement. I look first for the business reason behind each requirement.
I have done planning, development, packaging, installation and support myself, and led many projects as PM.
I moved the same product from COBOL → VB6 → VB.NET → C#/WPF. I fix running legacy systems while designing the new structure.
I turned single-store software into a chain package configured per industry and number of stores.
In Vietnam I localized mart, canteen and in-house package systems into Vietnamese and English and ran them for many clients.
I apply SECS/GEM equipment communication, RabbitMQ messaging, Kafka and AI development tools to real work.
13 years of retail POS in Korea → 7 years in Vietnam → POS and kiosks for large clients → semiconductor equipment
Store POS, back office and central server, redesigned on .NET 8 from 30 years of POS and retail experience, built with AI tools at every step.
C# WPF · retail and restaurant checkout, table and kitchen printing, self-service kiosk
Web server built into the POS plus a phone web app · order, add, cancel, device approval
ASP.NET Core API + WPF · products, purchasing, stock, sales, ledgers, settlement
Store licenses and plans, automatic update delivery
Master, transaction, customer and admin databases are separate, so one store can never reach another store's data.
Central responses are verified with RSA signatures and device counts are managed. Stores keep selling for a set period even offline.
Signed packages flow central → store server → POS, with a backup before applying and automatic rollback on failure.
Balances are computed from the ledger, not stored, so back-dated entries never break the numbers.
Locking and merging so phones and the counter can edit the same table without conflicts. Kiosk dine-in or takeout choice.
Korean, English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese, with Vietnam localization experience built in from day one.
I use AI not just to generate code, but as a colleague that reviews designs and verifies results with me.
KIOX aims to be a POS that runs end to end inside the store. Together we can go further.
Resellers who introduce KIOX to local stores and handle installation and support. Install kits and remote updates keep on-site work light.
Sales and support for F&B and retail stores in Vietnam. Five languages and Vietnamese e-invoicing are already in place.
Companies and developers to build payment (VAN, QR), delivery app, device, printer and accounting integrations with us.
